Early Year's Educator

Sherpa Kids Cork is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Childcare Practitioners to join our growing team across our services throughout Cork. We provide high-quality after school and term-time childcare, creating safe, fun and engaging environments where children can learn, play and thrive.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and wants to be part of a supportive, positive and rewarding childcare team.

The Role:

As an After School Childcare Practitioner, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming environment where children feel happy, supported and valued. You will plan and deliver fun, age-appropriate activities, support children’s development and help ensure the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality care and supervision for children in an after school setting
• Create and deliver engaging activities including arts, crafts, games and outdoor play
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
• Support children’s social, emotional and developmental needs
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment
• Follow all childcare, health & safety and safeguarding procedures

What we are looking for:

• A genuine passion for working with children
• Previous experience in childcare, education or a similar role desirable
• Relevant childcare qualification (or working towards one) desirable
• Strong communication skills and a positive, caring approach
• Ability to work well as part of a team
